Five Things

Peter passes me a meme: ‘Five Things You Probably Don't Know About Me.’ Seems to be an international meme, so I'll do it in English, one more time. Here we go:

At the age of 10 till 13-14, I sang in a boys choir. Think Belgian version of the Wiener Sangerknaben. We wore a uniform that included grey bermudas, white shirt and a burgundy red pre-knotted tie. I sang alto and soprano and quit just before my voice broke.
Inspite of popular belief, I never did drugs. Yes, occasionally, I smoked a joint when it was passed on to me. It always made me sick, or at least dizzy. One time, it made me laugh to the point it became scary. But there was a huge amount of alcohol involved as well. Since then, I also laid off Tequilla.
I left home at seventeen, to go and live with a girl. Since then, I've lived together four times. Thus, some people think of me as an expert on the subject. Personally, I think the better conclusion to draw is that I really suck at it.
I still can't cook. As in: I can bake an egg. I know how to bake a steak. And there's one kind of spaghetti I can make if I follow the book carefully. At the age of 34, I still eat at my parents a couple of times a week. For everything else, I take care of myself pretty well.
I've owned a house for exactly three weeks. Then we broke up. I find it an amusing story to tell nowadays.
